About us
Neath Ales is all about combining the best natural ingredients to make refreshing beers without any chemical additions or flavour enhancers. Simply because by not compromising on the quality of malt and the sheer quantity of hops we use we can let the beers do the talking.
All our beers are brewed with 100% maris otter malt which is widely regarded as the best brewing malt in the world.
At Neath Ales we love hops. We believe that a beer should be a great balance of flavours and so our bittering hop rates simply balance the beers or are appropriate for a particular style. However many other brewers would consider our late hopping rates decadent. Outrageous perhaps. But these levels of late hopping give Neath Ales outstanding aroma and subtle flavour profiles which set them apart.
All of our bottled beers are bottle conditioned ales and in the strictest adherence of this tradition, are not filtered or pasturised at any stage of the process. The bottle conditioning process is a traditional process wherby the beers continue to improve and maintain their fresh taste whilst in the bottle in the same way that happens with a cask ale. Indeed our stronger beers, particularly Neath Ales Reserve will continue to improve in the bottle for a number of years.
Above all we believe a beer should taste great.
